Reinstating Korean tigers

Korean tigers are essentially the same subspecies as Amur tiger.

Some people in Korea are trying to reinstate Korean tigers by releasing Amur tigers. As Korea does not have enough natual habitat for tigers, it is questionable if it will succeed. However, the DMZ of Korea now is very well preserved and if Korea makes the whole DMZ as national park, it is possible that Korean tigers and Korean leopards can be reestablished in Korea.
